Halloween series: Zombified

I had no clue how to name this look, so I went with zombified. Two or three years ago I did half skull half pin up look for our "Halloween" in February, so I wanted to do something similar, just with zombie face. I went with green colour, which can be little bit more cartoony, the other half is glam and flawless.

This look is my last Halloween look, but fear not I'll be doing some exciting makeup looks all year round :). Sorry I didn't manage to do more, but you can always check out my last year's costumes for inspiration: HERE.

Halloween series: Scary clown

I think that "scary clown" is pretty much self explanatory, so let's just start with the post :)

This is probably the easiest makeup for Halloween, I finished it in about 20 minutes and you can also make it friendlier without the blood and cleaner eye makeup, even though I think that clowns are scary in general.

Sorry, I got a little bit carried away with fake blood :D

Face:
- NYX jumbo pencil Milk
- Coastal Scents 88 palette - brown for lines

Eyes:
- Coastal Scents 88 palette
- MUA Immaculate collection palette
- NYX jumbo pencil Black bean
- vaseline on my right eye to make it look more irritated
- Bourjois eye pencil in black

Nose:
- Coastal Scents 88 palette
- Bourjois eye pencil in black

Lips (same products used for my teeth):
- Bourjois eye pencil in black
- Bourjois Rouge edition lipstick Rouge jet set

- fake blood

I hope I didn't care you too much :)

Most educational cartoon ever

Probably not, but I have still learnt a lot from it and I was surprised by its positive message. Which cartoon you ask? Happy Feet 2. I turned on the TV while I was eating lunch (yes, yes, I know, it's not good to watch or read while eating, but you would do it too, I usually always eat alone, and I sometimes need a "company" :)) and it just started. And I was like: "Oh, cute, penguins are so adorable and look at those little ones, fluffy and little." Seriously, penguins are one of my favourite animals. Ok, stop blabbing, get to the point.

Character that was so inspiring to me was Will the Krill. He decides to be different and starts swimming against the swarm, eventually he will come to an end. And he does. And what was there? He has never seen ocean in this way -no other krills, just pure beautiful sea. One of the other krills, Bill, joins him. Bill is constantly reminding him to go back where is safe and be normal again. He even says: "I fear the worst, Will." And Will replies: "I fear the worst too, but only because fearing the best is an absolute waste of time!
Little Will has such a strong will (his name must have been chosen wisely :)), he is brave enough to challenge himself to evolve. He even tries eating meat, he says: "I'm moving up the food chain! I'm gonna chew on something that has a FACE!". Even though at the end he loses his mind a little and says that he should have listened to Bill, who had left him eventually, but they meet again and Bill says to him that he was right all along. Surprisingly, he convinced all other krills to join him and they start dancing, because it makes them happy ("main point" of the movie is actually dancing after all :)).

Will the krill reminded me of strong (human) individuals, who decide to do something different, to change their lives, even though they are "small", unimportant, at "the end of the food chain". They not listen to what other people say and think, are not afraid to be bold and even though life is not a beach, but a mountain, they keep going. It can be hard, but small steps count.
Always follow your heart, not listen to others and get out of your comfort zone. You'll never know, if you never try.

I know that I turned on TV, because it was meant for me to see this movie. I felt so happy and motivated afterwards. Movie also had many other messages, but this story was the one I wanted to share with you. Have you ever been so inspired and positively surprised by a movie or even better - a cartoon?

I know, totally random post, but I just had to share it. I love movies and cartoons ... maybe I'll share more inspirational stories from movies in the future, if you find it interesting :)

Halloween series: Boogey man

Do you know how a Boogey man looks like? No? Me neither, but in my mind he looks like a really pale dude, because he hides in closets, right? Right. Has big mouth and sharp teeth so he can eat naughty children and is covered in blood, because he has a good appetite :). I also added some veins on the face, which were more noticable in real life.

- Essence Stay all day concealer
- Barry M Whirte foundation
- baby powder
- Coastal Scents 88 palette
- Avon gel eyelineer pencil

- glue for paper work, toilet paper
- fake nails for teeth
- fake blood

And that's how I got rid of my fake mouth and teeth. :)
I decided to do this makeup, because my twitter user name is @BooogeyWoman after all :). Hope I didn't scare you too much!

I hope you like it and don't forget to check your closet before bed time ;)

Current favourites

Or what have I've been loving lately, even though I haven't really bought anything new, but still :)

Essence has released new lipsticks and of course I had to try them out. And I love them, I bought two shades: Wear berries!, which is my most worn lipstick right now and Coral calling, her time to shine will come soon :)

Mascara I've been loving is from Isa Dora Big bold mascara Super volumizing in 10 black. I wasn't a big fan of it at the begging, because it has a big wand and it's kinda clumsy, but now it dried up a little and it really gives me super volume. And I love me some super volume.

Black polish has been my favourite since I started to paint my nails for the first time, recently I've been loving black polish from Maybelline Colorama. It stays on my nails for quite some days without chipping, which is rare for me, application is super easy and it dries fast once applied.

I rediscovered Ardeco eyeshadow base in my makeup collection and completely used it up in last few months. It's like a magnet for eyeshadow, my eye makeup doesn't move whole day! Need to repurchase it :)

I had Bourjois single eyeshadow in 90 Blanc for years now, but since I've been around a lot, it's my go to eyeshadow to highlight my face. And it also has a mirror, which is always useful.

Now to the random favourites.
I've been eyeing the Milford cold teas for a while before I actually bought it, and then I bought it and I wasn't wow'd. But after few tries, it kinda grew on me. I even like putting little bit of stevia in it, makes it even better for my taste. Oh and I only tried Limette taste.

I am not into gaming or ever understood gaming videos/channels, but then I found PewDiePie and he changed my opinion forever. This guy is f*ckin' hilarious (once I almost broke my nose laughing), he works hard, has 14,000,000+ subscribers and the fact that he's from Sweden (and not America) makes him even cooler. Check him out, if you don't know who he is already.

Even though Oh no from Marina and the Diamonds is older song, I still love it and is my currently favourite song :)

I think that's it for today's post. Thank you for all your kind comments on my last post, feels good to be back ;)

Halloween series: Forest Witch

Guess who's back? And it's not Eminem ;)

Hellllooooo, how are you all doing? I missed you! Did you miss me? ;)
And instead of another blah blah blog post, I decided to get straight back to business. Halloween is around the corner and I still haven't done any Halloween looks! Expect at least 4 looks this year and if you need more ideas, check out my last year's looks here: click.

Today I did Forest Witch, because I didn't want to do regular witch and paint my whole face green, so I went with half face of wood looking skin to represent the forest, which I am not 100% satisfied with, but I got a little rusty not doing anything special to my face for such a long time. *sigh* :) The other half of the face is heavily contoured, pale and eye makeup has added reds and purples. The only thing missing was contact lens in my left eye, but I didn't want to bother my eyes with lenses, I just got rid of them last year, so imagine it yourself ;)
