September favourites

It's this time of the month again. Time to tell you all about my favourites! So, let's start, I have a lot of stuff to show you!

I fell in love with Sleek Au naturel palette. I've been using it almost every day since I bought it and you probably seen that in my makeup blog posts. It's mentioned almost in every one. It has such beautiful range of natural colours! Who need Naked palette anyways? :)

I always wanted to buy more pigments, but they can be really expensive. So, thank you Essence for releasing Essence pigments. There is nothing not to love about them. Super pigmented, cheap, easy to use. Brilliant.

Another Essence product has to be their Colour & go nail polish in 129 the boy next door. I love blue varnishes, clothes, shoes, blue everything. Such a lovely colour!

And another Essence product (this is the last one, I promise) is Liquid eyeliner waterproof. I was searching for a good liquid eyeliner for the longest time, bought this "by accident" and I can't really complain about it, especially because my eyes can get pretty watery sometimes and smudge my makeup (and it looks like I don't know how to apply makeup).

Hello, I'm Deja and I am lipstick addict. I ordered 3 lippies from MUA (swatched here: click) and I've been using Nectar one a lot lately. It's just such a beautiful shade and I really like texture of their lipsticks.

My ophthalmologists recommended I stop wearing contact lenses for a month and use Refresh eye drops at least 8 times a day. I've been using them before, but now I realized how refreshing they really are for my eyes. Haven't stopped wearing lenses, I just wear them less. Bad patient :)

I finally emptied my UDPP (had it for more than a year) and decided to try Too faced Shadow insurance. Been doing a great job for me. Ordered on eBay.

Two brushes I've been loving are pointed brush for eyeliner with no name and fluffy blending brush from BHcosmetics.

And my favourite song this month has to be Gangnam Style. No more word needed (thank you, Petite Sal, who tweeted this song, it has been on repeat ever since :P). K-pop ftw.

I think that's finally it! What are your favourites for this month? Have you tried any of these products?

Have a lovely day,

I got bitten by the Blog Bug

I got bitten by the Blog Bug by Aqeela_k! (Thanks God it's not a mosquito :P) Check her blog out, she does amazing makeup looks and she is in general a really sweet girl (CLICK). She's the girl who came up with the weekly tag thing, which I'm doing every week now.

Rules once you are awarded/tagged:
  • If you are given the Blog Bug award, You must answer the questions that follow and the title of the post should be "I Got Bitten by the Blog Bug".
  • You must give the link of where you originally got this award, and you can tag as many bloggers as you want. Link their pages on the post and also inform them through comments in their blog.
  • Optional: You must post a banner corresponding to the site that you are using to blog in your sidebar and it should link back to your post about the Blog Bug Award.

1. When and why did you start blogging?
I started blogging February in 2011. I was kinda "forced" (lol) by my friends, because they said I know a lot about healthy lifestyle (I lost 25 kilograms = 55 pounds in less then 2 years and kept it off, so I must have been doing domething right :)), and makeup was my love for the longest time. So, I incorporated both and everything in between.

2. What do you love to blog about and why do you like it?
I blog about everything I like, about personal experiences, maybe some motivational posts, healthy recipes, healthy lifestyle is a big part of my life, and of course makeup and beauty products, which is my first love.

3. How did you get your blog name?
My name is Deja and my surname starts with Zu. I kinda played with French expression "deja vu" which means "already seen", but I didn't want that. My blog was never seen before! :) So, Deja Zu it was. And "dea" in Latin means goddess, so what not to love about my name? :)

4. What do you think is your best post yet?
This one is a hard one. I like my makeup posts. It takes a lot of time to do a makeup, list the products, take pictures ... And I also like my more personal ones, about losing weight etc.

5. What is your inspiration for blogging at present?
I get inspired by just talking to other bloggers. Comments encourage me a lot, and all beautiful people who read my blog. Blogging takes time, but it+s worth every minute of it! Beauty blogger community is amazing and full of positive energy!

6. Message for your readers:
Thank you for sticking with my blog, I hope you're enjoying it as much as I enjoy creating it. Thank you for commenting, encouraging me and talking to me. I love you all <3. And if you're a blogger: keep rocking :]

Blogs I tag:

Have a lovely day,

P.S.: Look, who won something ;) CLICK. Once again, thank you, Sandra. X

THREE challenge look #8: EDGY

Do you notice something different? No. Let me help you. I've reached 100 GFC followers! AAA :D THANK YOU BILLION TIMES. I will host a giveaway, probably next week. I have so much going on this week, it's impossible to even go to the store and buy all the pretty things I'll be giving away.

So, back to the challenge. Today's theme is edgy. This one was easy, dark smokey eyes and bright lippie. I wanted to do bright pink lips, but I don't have pink lipstick right now with me, so I had to go with red lips.

Edgy for me means daring, comfortable with extremely dark eye makeup and dark lips at the same time, "breaking the rules", it's sultry, sexy, noticeable ... I skipped blush, because we don't want to look cute and healthy :D That's why I chose only to contour.

Anyways, I think that purple, dark makeup really make my eye colour pop. I should wear it more often. (I actually went to a store with this eye makeup, I just switched to a lip gloss :)).

Products used:

-MUA BB cream light
- ELF mineral foundation
- Bourjois Healthy mix concealer

- MUA MUA palette Immaculate collection (which I got for free!) for eyes, contour and eyebrows
- Barry M Bold Black Waterproof Eyeliner
- Artdeco All in one mascara

- Fyrinnae Lip lustre Dragon's blood

I didn't want to take a lot of pictures full face, because I've been sick and my skin is not looking the prettiest. Terribly dry skin around my nose, go away :)

Have a lovely day.

RANDOM: Autumn/fall chit chat, October plans, Halloween craziness etc.

Hello, beautiful people. Autumn is here and it's perfect time to start wearing my combat boots from London again. I've missed wearing them. However, I just don't like the fact it's already so freaking cold! I'm cold all the time, I even got sick *sigh*.

Pretty and comfy ^^

With that said, I have some exciting news (at least they are exciting to me:)): I will post a new blog post every single day in October. Whoop whoop! And I even plan to do Halloween series, at least 8 looks - full face and costume, and I will try not to buy anything new, I don't want to spend a lot of money on costumes, wigs ... Don't you LOVE Halloween? I know I DO! We don't celebrate it in Slovenia, there are just some random Halloween parties, but we don't go trick 'r treating (insert a sad face).
I already have 7 looks planned (I still need 1 idea), but I'm opened for your suggestions if there is something you would like to see me to do. Warning: I don't do sexy looks :).

It will get crazy. I promise :D

Also, I think time around Halloween is perfect time to watch one of my favourite cartoons The Nightmare before Christmas and my favourite cartoon TV show - The Grim adventures of Billy & Mandy. I'm such a big child :)

Lastly, if you haven't noticed yet I have a new blog banner and simple white background. I think it's super pretty and the blog description "Beauty, health and everything in between." sums up my blog content. I think:). What do you think baout new design?

That's enough rambling for today. Hope you have a great Sunday and I love you all <3

My "go to" breakfast: Cooked oatmeal

I wanted to post something completely different today, but the pictures taken with my camera were so bad, I decided to delete them and don't do a blog post today. But then I remembered I have never done a recipe for my "to go" breakfast. Now (autumn/winter) time is the perfect time to do it, because this breakfast is warm, and it gives you enough energy until lunch time. It's super easy to make and it takes you about 5 minutes to prepare (all my recipes are super easy to make :D).

Ingredients:
- oatmeal
- soy milk (or water)
- honey (or any other natural sweetener)
- cinnamon
- dry fruits
- half of banana

I put 4-5 spoons of oatmeal in a pot and soy milk. I don't know how much soy milk I use, I just eyeball it so I know when oatmeal is cooked, it will be combined and not swimming in the milk :). Consistency has to be a little bit thicker when cooked.
I cook it on medium heat, give it a little stir every now and then. I sprinkle some cinnamon, add hand full of dry fruits and a little bit of honey to sweeten  it up.

When the oatmeal is cooked I put it in a bowl and cut half banana over it. I prefer eating my breakfast while it's still warm.
On the side I have my morning cup of green tea. :)

You cook it the same way with water. You can also use any other kinds of milk, almond, quinoa, or just regular milk. I don't drink regular milk, because it makes me feel sick and milk from the store is not even a milk milk. But that whole another story. :)

This has been my favourite breakfast for many years now. And I still love it.

What is your "to go" breakfast?

Bon apetit!

THREE challenge look #7: SOFT

We are at the third and last part of the three challenge. Today's theme is adjective soft.

I was inspired by Marina from the Marina and the Diamonds. Her makeup is always doll like looking, soft, pink lips and cheeks, black liner, dark defined eyebrows, flawless skin and false lashes on bottom lash line. I have some bottom falsies, but they looked so horrible I removed them and added upper falsies and did some shading underneath my eyes. I improvised a little. But I added little heart underneath left eye she wears sometimes :)

My skin went a little cray cray lately, so my face is not looking so flawless as hers. However, I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

Products break down:
Face:
- MUA BB cream All in one Light
- Bourjois healthy mix concealer 52
- ELF Mineral foundation Fair
- MUA blusher Shade 2
- NYX Mosaic Powder highlighter

Eyes:
- Too faced Shadow insurance primer
- Everyday Minerals eye Our first date (the lightest shade)
- Sleek Au Naturel (Capuccino &Bark in crease and underneath eyes and eyebrows)
- Essence liquid liner waterproof
- nude Oriflame kohl pencil
- MUA mascara
- eBay falsies + Duo eyelash adhesive

Lips:
- Revlon matte Pink pout
- Essence Stay with me longlasting lipgloss Candy bar

Challenge rules and for other participants click HERE.

My weird face. Gee ^^

Have a lovely day/night ;)

P.S.: How you like my blog banner/header and design? It's simple, but I like it!

6 new lippies

I bought so many new makeup lately, but I still don't have a proper skin care products. Oh, well :)
I went a little crazy over buying lipsticks, some of them are on a natural side, for I discovered I don't have enough natural shades, and some are deeper shades for fall, everything in a purple family.

I introduce you to my new army.

From left to right: Essence Wild Craft lipstick 01 mystic lilac, MUA lipstick shade 2, Catrice Ultimate colour 160 Tell Me a Berry-tale, MUA lipstick shade 5, Catrice Ultimate shine 090 Fox Nox, MUA lipstick shade16 Nectar

MUA lipstick shade 5, Catrice Ultimate shine 090 Fox Nox, MUA lipstick shade16 Nectar
I didn't like shade 5 from MUA, so I gave is to my mother, she is always so happy when I give her some makeup I don't use or like :). Catrice lipstick reminds me of my favourite natural shade from OriflameVibrant Beige. And the Nectar one. My oh my, I feel in love with it yesterday. I'm going to wear it a lot.

Essence Wild Craft lipstick 01 mystic lilac, MUA lipstick shade 2, Catrice Ultimate colour 160 Tell Me a Berry-tale
All in the purple family. I wanted dark purple lipstick for the longest time, but I didn't want to spend a lot money on it. Mystic lilac was perfect shade and cheap. MUA lippie shade 2 is kinda dark pinkish purple shade. I really like it. And the one from Catrice is really nice deep berry colour.

I didn't do any specific makeup looks for summer, so I decided to do at least 2 fall looks using some of my new shades. Yay! :)

Have you bought any new lipsticks lately? Do you like my new babies? Have you tried them?
Girl can never have too many lippies :)

Have a lovely day,
